We are looking for an abnormal loads, low loader driver looking to work alongside a dynamic team of drivers, fitters and bodyshop experts. A day-to-day experience as one of our abnormal loads drivers would involve the transportation of a wide range of machinery including loading shovels, excavators, fuel bowsers, diggers and more. Strong customer liaison is an important asset to hold as the right candidate will be expected to communicate with customers at the end of a journey transporting their goods. We are looking to hire a trailer fitter/ mechanic with 5+ years experience to join our team at our lively site in Rendlesham.
You will be working from 7am-5pm from Monday to Friday carrying out a wide range of tasks including but not limited to routine trailer inspections, brake tests, general maintenance, fabrication, welding, MOT preparation and presentation. Though, we also work on one-off custom builds, so every day is different.
We are looking for somebody who can work well within a group as well as independently so that we can keep up with the busy schedule we have maintained, even during the Coronavirus pandemic.
We currently have a vacancy open in our commercial bodyshop for an Assistant Technician.
The job role involves predominantly carrying out preparation processes in the paintshop ready for machines to be painted and will include:
- Working in the blast bay
- Washing down machines before and after works have been carried out
- Stripping down and refitting machine components
- Carrying out repairs and filler work
We are a commercial bodyshop and work on a wide range of vehicles including but not limited to military machinery; high-end horseboxes; plant machinery; heavy goods vehicles and agricultural machinery. An understanding of bodyshop procedures including the process of metal repairs, repairs and filler work, prep before and after prime and stripping down and refitting of machine components after body and paint work has been carried out, is desirable. You must also be respectful and professional in your manner.
Every day is different and the right candidate for the job will find their work to be highly varied and dynamic. Reporting to and working alongside the paintshop foreman and a small group of technicians, we are looking for somebody that enjoys working with others as part of a team and has good communication with their peers so that work is carried out efficiently.
